Privacy Policy
iSpeeedRead
iSpeedRead is designed to be a private, local reading app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information We Do Not Collect
iSpeedRead does not collect, sell, rent, track, or share personal information.
We do not collect:
Your name, email address, phone number, or account information
Analytics or usage tracking data
Advertising identifiers
Location data
Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
The contents of your imported books, PDFs, EPUBs, or text files
Imported Documents
When you import a PDF, EPUB, RTF, HTML, or text file, iSpeedRead extracts readable text so it can display the document in the app.
Your imported documents and extracted text are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, and we do not have access to them.
Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in Apple device backups such as iCloud Backup. Apple controls those backup services according to your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
Local App Data
iSpeedRead stores some information locally on your device to make the app work, including:
Imported book metadata, such as title, word count, and reading progress
Reading settings, such as speed, font size, theme, animation, and focus options
Whether the free import limit has been used
This data stays on your device unless handled by Apple backup services based on your device settings.
Subscriptions and Purchases
iSpeedRead offers optional monthly and yearly subscriptions through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment information are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
The app may check your subscription status through Apple’s StoreKit system to determine whether unlimited imports are unlocked.
Third-Party Services
iSpeedRead uses Apple services required for normal App Store app functionality, including:
App Store distribution
StoreKit in-app purchases and subscriptions
Apple device backup services, if enabled by you
iSpeedRead does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children’s Privacy
iSpeedRead does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Deletion
You can delete imported books from within the app. You can also delete all locally stored app data by deleting iSpeedRead from your device.
Subscription management and purchase history are handled by Apple through your Apple ID settings.
